Valentine’s Day Cocktails You Can Make at Home

Valentine’s Day Cocktails You Can Make at Home

Even if your Valentine’s Day is looking a little different this year, that doesn’t mean you still can’t enjoy a romantic night in or a fabulous night with your besties. In fact, there are tons of celebratory cocktails perfect for the occasion you can make right at home. Below I’ve broken down some classic drinks that pair flawlessly with Valentine’s Day. Get ready for an explosion of pink, red, and strawberries; and remember: love is in the air drink. 😉

Cosmopolitan

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • 3 oz vodka
  • 1/2 oz cranberry juice (substitute diet cranberry juice for fewer calories)
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 2 oz triple sec
  • 1 lime wedge
  • chilled martini glass
  • cocktail shaker + strainer
  • ice
Check out the video tutorial.

HOW-TO:

  1. Place martini glass in freezer, then fill cocktail shaker with ice, followed by vodka, triple sec, fresh lime juice, and cranberry juice.
    1. Note: this is the key part of making the perfect cosmopolitan! Make sure that you’re only using a 2 count so your drink will come out light pink—you don’t want it bright pink, dark pink, or red! Think: the color of this blog! Ensuring this exact count is what will give the martini that pink lemonade flavor as well!
  2. Cover cocktail shaker and shake well—cocktail shaker should be cold to the touch.
  3. Remove martini glass from freezer, then strain in contents of shaker.
  4. Garnish with a slice of lime on the rim.
