2020 Flawless World Thanksgiving Challenge

2020 Flawless World Thanksgiving Challenge

Thanksgiving is just under a week away here in the United States, during an unprecedented time all over the world. To most people, Thanksgiving is what symbolizes the start of the most magical time of the year—the holiday season. And yet here we are, at a state of unrest and unease. 2020 has been a year of suffering all around the world, pain and loss have reverberated throughout. Traditions that we’ve become accustomed to we may not be able to do anymore thanks to COVID restrictions; it’s a very restless time that’s left many on edge.

So it’s no surprise that most people aren’t in the holiday spirit. It’s understandable, but that’s why it’s so important that we do take the time to remember what we have and be grateful for it.

Last year I did a Flawless World Thanksgiving week challenge, and I wanted to do one again this year, but sprinkle some more flavor and length into it. Let’s break down what the 2020 Flawless World Thanksgiving Challenge is.

2020 flawless world thanksgiving challenge:

Starting today, up until Thanksgiving day, I’m challenging everyone to write down 3 things they are grateful for, and pick one way to work on raising their vibrational energy, every single day. That may sound more complicated than it actually is, so let’s talk about what vibrational energy is, and all the ways you can work on raising your own vibration.

A vibration is a state of being, the atmosphere, or energetic quality of a person, place, thought, or thing. When you’re vibrating at a higher level, you tend to feel happier, lighter, and more at ease. When I’m vibrating at a higher level the word I always like to use to describe it is “enlightened.” On the flip side, when you’re vibrating at a lower level, you tend to feel heavier (not in terms of weight, but more like things weighing you down), darker, and confused. It’s easy to vibrate at a lower level these days, which is why it’s up to all of us individually to work on raising our own vibrational energy—for ourselves and the people around us as well.

Raising your own vibrational energy doesn’t have to be a big deal, and doesn’t have to be difficult at all. Here are some ways to raise your vibrational energy.

Ways to raise your vibrational energy:

  • Become conscious of your thoughts. What you think is what you manifest, and what you think, you become. Try to be more conscious of your thoughts and how they make you feel. Whenever I’m feeling good and a negative thought comes into my head, I swear I can feel it eat all of my positive, happy thoughts. The negativity will take over, which is why I always try to be conscious of those negative thoughts. I’ll acknowledge them, journal about them if I have to, and let them go. I don’t allow myself time to ruminate on them. The next time a negative thought comes into your mind, take the time to acknowledge its presence, thank it for coming, and let it go.
  • Appreciate the beauty around you. One of the reasons I love working in front of a big window is because I love being able to see directly outside; it’s extremely peaceful and calming. I love being able to take the time to appreciate the beauty of nature. Find something beautiful around you—a piece of artwork in your home, the color of a wall, nature, etc.—and take a moment to appreciate it. Appreciate the beauty you’re surrounded by.
  • Become more mindful of what you consume. When you feel good, you’re not going to want to put dirty things into your body—like fast food, sweets, alcohol, etc. Now, flip that around: putting potential toxins into your body isn’t going to make you feel good, either. The two go hand-in-hand. Now, I’m not advocating for a total juice cleanse or dropping all consumption of alcohol and desserts (balance, people, balance), but what I am saying is to be mindful of how much of it you’re consuming. Limit the amount of sweets you have, the alcohol you drink, and so on and so forth. Drink at least a gallon of water a day to make yourself feel better and flush toxins out of your body.
  • Work on meditating or breathing. I’m a huge advocate for doing deep breathing exercises, and I’ve just recently started working on meditation. Deep breathing is the precursor to meditation, and a great place to start. Doing either one of these exercises will help clear your mind, body, and soul, thus elevating your energy.
  • Get moving. Staying active is good for many reasons, and it’ll also help raise your vibrational energy. Energies are constantly shifting and moving, and the more you move, the better your vibrations will as well. Plus, you’ll feel good, which will also help raise your vibrational energy.
  • Be grateful & do acts of kindness. Gratitude journals are an amazing way to be grateful for everything you have. Being grateful shifts your thinking from, “I wish I had more,” or, “if only I had more of this,” to: “I have a lot to be thankful for already.” Doing this challenge will make you remember 3 things you’re grateful for every single day, ultimately helping to lift you up. Doing acts of kindness will also help with this as well. Sure, acts of kindness can be about giving and helping out others, but it can also be treating people kindly. Don’t gossip or talk trash about others, don’t make fun of, belittle, or put them down. Choose to be kind. You’ll feel better about who you are as a person, and this in turn will help raise your energy.

Those are some easy ways you can work on raising your own vibrational energy. Pick out the one that speaks to you the most and work on that, and also writing down 3 things you are grateful for every single day, up until Thanksgiving.

Tip: write down how you feel at the end of the night after working on raising your vibration for that day to help yourself become more conscious of how your actions affect you!

What i’m Going to do:

For this challenge, I’m going to work on raising my vibration through meditation. Here are also 3 things I’m grateful for:

  1. The roof over my head.
  2. The food in my fridge.
