Why I’m loving it:
This serum is life-changing. I started using it back in October and haven’t gone a day without it since. Whenever my hormones are all out of whack I’ll usually always get pimples right along my chin area. (If you see pimples there then you know what’s up, lol.) Anyone else who’s ever had to deal with hormonal acne knows how stubborn those breakouts can be.
This has become my secret weapon to getting rid of those stubborn, hormonal flare-ups. It soothes the irritated area pretty quickly and doesn’t bring the pimples to a head, which I love because I truly hate popping pimples. I’ve noticed the breakouts clear up faster than ever. Eventually they just go away and it’s like they were never there! No trace of a pimple is left behind!
Our skin is ever-changing, such is life, and as I’m getting older I’ve noticed that I’ve become more prone to slight redness in certain areas of my face. The Barecat serum has really reduced that redness in my face, instead replacing it with smooth skin that glows naturally. I love how it’s not too thin or too thick, and it’s not too oily either. When I apply the serum, I actually feel like I’m putting something on my face and that something is actually working. It also creates the perfect base for my eye cream and moisturizer. Plain and simple? I’m obsessed.
I also love how the ingredients are all natural! I have extremely sensitive skin, and this serum—with all its naturally sourced ingredients—is absolutely perfect for me. I’ve never had any sort of reaction to it. In fact, the times I’ve tried new products that have irritated my sensitive skin, I’ve used this serum to help calm the affected area. The serum does its job, and it does it well—it’s a universal serum, made for all skin types, able to treat any and all skin problems.

when + how I use it:

When I use it:
Every day, morning and night; after my toner, and before my eye cream. (Step 2 out of 4 steps in my daily skincare routine.)
How I use it:
Step 1 (after using my toner): I dispense 2-3 drops in the palm of my hand, then, using my fingers (from my other hand) I rub the serum around my palm.
- Tip: Start with less product to help avoid product waste. You can always add more as needed.
Step 2: Using my ring finger, I apply the serum under my right eye. After, with whatever product’s left on my right hand, I’ll (gently) rub the serum into the right side of my face using an upward, circular motion. Repeat on the left side.
- Tip: When applying any product underneath the eye area, use your ring finger and gently pat the product in. That area is extremely delicate and any tugging or harsh rubbing can really pull on the already-thin skin!
- Tip: Always blend serum (especially on cheeks, along the jawline, and neck) in an upward motion. Gravity is already working against us and wants to pull our skin down, don’t help it out by pulling the skin downward.
Step 3: I then rub my palms together and gently massage serum into my forehead, nose, and chin area. Again, always massaging it into my skin in an upward, circular motion. I’ll also apply it along and underneath my jawline, and my lips as well.
- Tip: Add the serum to your lips—it works better than chapstick and will heal even the most chapped of lips instantly!
- Side note: Occasionally, I will have to add another tiny drop onto my palm during this step; it depends on how dry my skin is.
- Side note: When using the serum on your nose, try to make sure you massage the the bridge of your nose upward. Remember to bring it up in between your eyebrows.
Step 4: Take serum along neck and blend it in an upward, circular motion to the jawline and underneath the chin. This helps avoid product waste, and also helps your neck stay glowing, healthy, and young! (Our necks show our age!)
