My Hot and Dirty Martini Recipe

My Hot and Dirty Martini Recipe

ICYMI, over the weekend I shared an IGTV demonstrating how to make my favorite martini of all time: the hot and dirty martini. I’ve loved this drink for years, and everyone I’ve ever turned on to it has loved it too. Don’t let the word martini scare you away—this drink can be made by anyone, including those who have no bartending experience whatsoever. These do have a slight—emphasis on slight—kick to them, but my boyfriend can barely handle buffalo sauce and he’s able to drink this and genuinely enjoys it, and I have no doubt that you will, too 🙂

I’ve shared this before in a previous post, but I’ve never quite broken it down like this. Unwind after a long day with this martini, or get ready to have a couple over the weekend. Keep on scrolling to find out how you can make my hot and dirty martini recipe, and watch the video for step-by-step, visual instructions. If you end up trying out this recipe, let me know what you think in the comments section down below, or through Instagram or Twitter! Please drink responsibly, and don’t ever get behind the wheel if you’ve been drinking!

My Hot and Dirty Martini Recipe:

RECIPE TYPE:

Cocktail, Martini

DIETARY INFO:

Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Virtually Calorie-Free

YIELDS:

1 Serving

SKILL LEVEL:

Easy/Beginner

Ingredients:

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Tito’s Vodka (or any vodka of your choosing)
  • Banana Pepper Juice (from jar of banana pepper rings)
  • Banana Pepper Rings (I prefer hot, but mild works fine as well)
  • Olive Juice (from jar of queen stuffed olives)
  • Queen Stuffed Olives
  • Martini Glass
  • Cocktail Shaker + Strainer
  • Ice
  • Cocktail Spear

Instructions:

*Disclaimer: I learned how to bartend using the free pour method, and that is still how I make drinks today. I’ve included conversion from counting to oz below.

CONVERSION MEASUREMENTS:

  • 6 count = 3 oz
  • 4 count = 2 oz
  • 2 count = 1/2 oz

HOW-TO:

  1. Place martini glass in freezer to chill, then fill cocktail shaker with ice
  2. Add a 6-count of vodka into strainer (count to 6 in your head while doing this)
  3. Strain banana pepper juice from jar and pour in a 4-count
  4. Strain olive juice from jar and pour in a 4-count
  5. Cover shaker and shake well—cocktail shaker should be cold to the touch!
  6. Strain into martini glass
  7. Garnish with cocktail spear of olives and a banana pepper

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  • Sizes of martini glasses will vary
  • If you pour short, add in an additional 2-count of vodka, banana pepper juice, and olive juice. Repeat process and strain into glass
  • If your pour is too big, strain leftover liquid into another glass and save for later

The Martini ingredients are interesting. Now I see why you call it hot and dirty. Will pin it for future reference. Thanks for sharing
