Beauty Pick of the Month: KKW Beauty Concealer + Baking Powder

I am in no way affiliated with any of the products mentioned in this post. All of these products were purchased with my own money. All opinions are my own.

Welcome to Flawless World’s brand new pick of the month! Each month I’m going to pick one (or two, it depends, lol) specific products to focus on that I’m currently using and loving! This blog is a sharing space and I love being able to share my new fun finds with all of you!

To start off this brand new product spotlight, for February’s pick of the month I’ve chosen my new favorite go-to concealers and baking powder from KKW Beauty.

8: Deep medium with warm undertones

Baking powder:

Bake 3: translucent pale yellow

Why I’m loving it:

Concealer

My first thought when I put the concealer on was “oh my God, this is so creamy!” The formula is super lightweight and offers a lot of coverage with very little product. The undertones are also on point, and I love how well the warm undertones blend into my skin. The finish isn’t cakey in the slightest, and it dried down fairly quickly which saved me a lot of time waiting for it to get tacky with my skin (letting the concealer get tacky helps it blend better in the end). The concealers were also super brightening, which I loved; and they created the perfect base for the baking powder.

Baking powder

True to its word, the baking powder truly is velvety and creates a natural, radiant finish on the skin. I got so many compliments the first night I wore this out, someone even told me my skin looked flawless (no pun intended), which surprised me because of the fact that I had on a full face of glam. The powder, being so lightweight, blended seamlessly into my skin and laid on top of my concealer beautifully. It’s super lightweight, too, which helps avoid the creasing and caked on look baking powders can sometimes create. This product is also finely milled, which makes it easy to place under the eyes.

How I use it:

Step 1 (after applying foundation + cream contour): I apply the concealer to the desired areas of my face. I use shade 8 under my eyes, the sides of my nose, and on my smile lines. I take shade 5 down the center of my face to really brighten and highlight it.

Step 2: after letting the concealer get tacky, blend out with a damp sponge. I like using a small sponge like this one from e.l.f

Step 3: with the same damp sponge used to blend out the concealer, pick up the baking powder and gently press it into desired areas of face. As pictured above, I apply it underneath my eyes, the sides of my nose, my chin, and center of forehead.

Step 4: after I apply eyeshadow, I gently wipe off the excess baking powder with a brush. (However long you leave the baking powder on is up to you, it’s all personal preference!)

Tip: make sure the brush is fluffy and light so you don’t remove the makeup underneath the powder and create texture on your face!
