Beauty Pick of the Month: e.l.f Primer-Infused Blush

Beauty Pick of the Month: e.l.f Primer-Infused Blush

It’s that time again… new month, new Flawless World beauty pick of the month! (Anyone else shocked at the fact that it’s already June? We’ve been cooped up inside and yet time still hasn’t slowed down.) We’re now entering my absolute favorite time of the entire year: summer. I’m such a summer baby, an ocean lover, avid beach-goer, vitamin D lover… yeah, you get the picture. Since we’re now (finally) entering the hot weather, I figured a great way to kick it off would be with a beauty product that boasts all things summer, which is why I’ve chosen the e.l.f primer-infused blush as June’s beauty pick of the month.

I know I just reviewed this product in a recent post, but every time I use it I’m still blown away by it and come to love it even more. This blush is what everyone needs for the summertime: lock-on formula for coverage that lasts all day long—perfect for when it gets really hot and everything begins to melt off your face—and also has an affordable price point. I honestly feel like e.l.f has stepped up their game recently, so I don’t mind showing them some extra love and shining a spotlight on well-formulated products. You know the drill: I’m going to break down what this product is, why I’m loving it, how I use it, along with a six hour wear test vlog. You ready? Let’s get into it.

What is it?

Primer-infused blush:

[from the e.l.f website]: “This long-wear, matte blush is infused with lock on primer powder to ensure a full day of perfectly placed blush. This blush is easy to blend, perfectly pigmented for ease of application, and grips your cheeks like a second skin.”

PRICE POINT: $6, 0.35 OZ (10G)

MY SHADE: ALWAYS PEACHY

Where to buy:

E.l.f products are sold online from their website, which is where I purchased mine from. They’re also sold from both in-store and online from Ulta Beauty, Target, and Walmart (selections will vary).

Why I’m loving it:

There are many reasons why I love this blush oh-so much, but let’s start with the glaringly obvious one: the price point. Not only is this blush super affordable, you get a ton of product too. Compare it to the famous NARS blushes, which are only 4.8 g and retail at $30–that’s a big difference. This blush feels luxurious and has a beautiful formula, finish, and color payoff for only $6. Six. Freaking. Dollars—that’s it.

Another reason why I love this blush is because it truly packs a punch with the pigment. I dip my blush brush into the pan once, tap off the excess, and I’m good to go. I usually do this for both cheeks because the product goes onto skin so easily, there usually isn’t too much residue left over. I love how easily I can blend it out, too. The formula is definitely buildable, but you really only need one swipe and you’re good to go, and one swipe lasts. (You’ll see in my wear test down below.) I have the shade Always Peachy. I initially chose this shade because I wanted a lighter blush for the summer, I didn’t realize I’d come to love it so much or fall in love with all things peach. I’m happy to say that on my skin tone it’s perfect for the summertime, it gives me a natural, subtle flush. If peach blushes aren’t for you, don’t worry, there’s a multitude of colors to choose from.

Application:

Taking my blush brush, I lightly dip into the pan. I then tap off the excess powder, and apply it onto my cheeks. I do this by initially using a circular motion, then dabbing the blush into the areas I want it to ensure correct product placement. I then finish blending using circular motions to buff the blush out.
