14 Valentine’s Day Cocktails To Celebrate the Day of Love

The most romantic day of the year is almost here, and toasting to love with a delicious cocktail in hand is the perfect way to celebrate. Typically, this means breaking out a bottle of rosé or red wine, or sipping on a pink or red drink to match the color scheme of Valentine’s Day. Of course, there’s nothing inherently wrong with this, but drinking the same beverage year after year can get a little, well… boring. So, I set out to find the best Valentine’s Day cocktails to sip on this year.

No matter how you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day—whether you’re romancing yourself, someone else or going out with the girls—toasting with one of these V-Day inspired drinks will help you celebrate in style. So, cheers to love with one of these 14 Valentine’s Day cocktails:

Don’t let the pink hue fool you: this drink is for everyone. And with a refreshing blend of Moscato, pink lemonade, vodka, half-moon lemon slices, and lemon-lime soda, you’ll be giggling all night long. Get the full recipe here, or watch the video tutorial to learn how to make.

6. White Chocolate Martini

Calling everyone with a sweet tooth! This recipe is not for the faint of heart, but it is absolutely divine. Sweeter than a chocolate martini, this white chocolate martini simply screams “Valentine’s Day.” Enjoy it after dinner to really set the vibe for the night.

7. Kir Cocktail

Looking for something simple? The Kir cocktail is made with dry white wine and crème de cassis—a liqueur made from blackcurrants, a.k.a. berries believed to have an aphrodisiac effect. Although traditionally made with dry white wine, you can opt to use sparkling wine or Champagne in its place instead. Recipe via The Spruce Eats.

8. Pink Angel Cocktail

Dessert drinks, anyone? This cocktail combines gin, cream, triple sec, rose syrup, grenadine, fresh raspberries and chocolate. If you’re going to end Valentine’s Day in style, end it with the pink angel cocktail. Recipe via Craft Gin Club.

9. Love Potion #9 Cocktail

Love Potion #9 is a boozy version of a strawberry milkshake and made from vanilla ice cream, white crème de cacao liqueur, and strawberries. If you really want to indulge, drizzle a little chocolate syrup into the glass before serving or coat the rim with it. Bonus points if you dip your chocolate covered strawberries into it.

10. Grapefruit Mimosa

It wouldn’t be Valentine’s Day without a little bit of bubbly, and this recipe is a fun spin on the typical mimosa. Plus, it’s super easy to make—all you have to do is pour some grapefruit juice into a champagne flute and add champagne or prosecco on top. Then, make it look extra pretty by sprinkling edible glitter into the drink and garnishing with a slice of grapefruit on the rim.

11. Pink Señorita

A margarita, but make it V-Day inspired. While this recipe uses staple ingredients found in a traditional margarita, like silver tequila and triple sec, it swaps out fresh lime juice and sour mix for fresh lemon juice and pink lemonade to create a zesty, sugary finish.

12. Boulevardier Cocktail

If you’re a whiskey lover, this is the drink for you. The Boulevardier is essentially a whiskey Negroni, and you can serve it straight up or on the rocks. Recipe via Allrecipes.

13. Pomegranate Cosmopolitan

Cosmo lovers, rejoice! The Pomegranate Cosmopolitan is a V-Day inspired spin on the classic. In addition to vodka, lime juice, orange liqueur and cranberry juice, this recipe also calls for a half cup of pomegranate juice to give the martini a deep red hue rather than the traditional light pink—a color that naturally evokes thoughts of passion and romance. 14. Bee’s Knees Cocktail

If you’re a gin drinker, sweeten your Valentine’s Day with the Bee’s Knees Cocktail. Not only is it juicy and tasty AF, but it’s also super easy to make since it only calls for three essential ingredients: honey, lemon and gin. Recipe via Delish.

They all look so yummy. I would love to try the giggle juice and grapefruit mimosa. The last time my husband and I indulged in drinks, we got pregnant with twins lolol. So maybe, just one glass for me.
