A while back I had a Thanksgiving week challenge that was met with a lot of positivity. The challenge was to write down three things you were grateful for daily on the days leading up to Thanksgiving. The goal of that challenge was to get everyone (myself included) to look at things differently, with gratitude. As the saying goes, change your mindset, and you can change your life.
This is a very turbulent time, the world is in the midst of a health crisis and no one knows when it’s going to end. Here in Rhode Island we’re under a strict stay-at-home order, only leave the house if it’s to run an errand at an essential business (like the market or pharmacy etc.). It’s crazy, none of us have any idea when or how this is going to end, and I think everyone, myself included, is beginning to feel the itch to get back to normality. I personally don’t mind staying home (this isn’t that much different from my normal life), but what I miss the most is having the option to go out. I miss my family and my friends, too. It sucks not being able to see the people I care about.
In times like this, it’s easy to turn to negativity. I myself always try to look on the bright side of everything; I never allow myself to get down, and I force myself to keep moving forward, but even I have had down moments over the past few days (it started this past Friday, on day 17 of self-quarantine). However, we all need to do our part, and not just by staying home—we need to do it by changing our mindset, too. What you think is what you manifest, and if more and more of us start thinking positively, then perhaps maybe we can change the entire world for the better; and if not the entire world, then at least the world around us.
Starting today, Monday, March 30th, through Friday, April 3rd, I’m challenging everyone to the #FlawlessWorldSocialDistancingChallenge. In this challenge, I want all of you take the time each day to write down three things you are grateful for, and to also try to do one thing for yourself; this can be anything—self-care, catching up on your favorite TV show, cooking, reading, whatever, the choice is yours! I’m going to be completing the challenge as well, here is what I’m grateful for and what I’m doing for myself today:
#FlawlessWorldSocialDistancingChallenge, 3/30/20
What I’m grateful for:
- The food in my fridge
- Mine and my loved ones’ health
- The roof over my head
What I’m going to try doing for myself today:
- I’m going to play with makeup because I love practicing and have ample time now, or I’m going to light some candles and sage my house (maybe both!)
You can follow along on my Instagram or Twitter, and show me your challenge by tagging me (@arianna___r, 3 underscores!) and using the hashtag #FlawlessWorldSocialDistancingChallenge. I hope this helps all of us to remember to be grateful for the little things, and I hope you and your loved ones stay safe during this tough time. Stay flawless, everyone, we’re all in this together. <3
What i don’t understood is in reality how you are no longer actually a lot more well-appreciated than you might be now. You’re very intelligent. You understand therefore considerably when it comes to this subject, made me in my opinion imagine it from so many various angles. Its like men and women are not interested unless it’s one thing to do with Girl gaga! Your own stuffs great. At all times handle it up!
